JOB SUMMARY: 

Conduct various activities to support involving procurement of goods and services in support of producing company products and in support of the R&D Department. Evaluate supplier performance to quality and delivery requirements, and assist in providing new sources of supply as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review requisitions to ensure that the request is valid and meets procedural requirements.
  • Review reports against open/closed POs and reconcile for accuracy.
  • Check accuracy of requests against specifications.
  • Identify qualified suppliers and negotiate best price for products/services.
  • Request bids from new suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate tracking systems, ensuring that information is current.
  • Provide Production and R&D staff with status reports of material usage as requested.
  • Responsible for understanding and operating consistent with company’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining purchasing records per the company’s procedures and FDA requirements.
  • Assure the smooth flow of materials into and through the facility with close interaction with suppliers, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Interact with Quality Assurance, Production and R&D to insure that requirements and quality on all commodities are maintained.
  • Identify and Procure items under his/her responsibility for the production needs based on established inventory goals.
  • Ensure availability of components and materials in order to support production process.
  • Maintain good communication with suppliers and production supervisors to assure timely delivery of materials.
  • Conduct problem solving and performance improvement with suppliers as needed to resolve delivery and/or quality issues.
  • Facilitate communication of supplier issues with the Materials Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with QSR, (Quality System Regulations) as well as other applicable regulations related to environmental, safety, and health.
  • Procure requirements at lowest cost, consistent with quality and service required.
  • Review schedules and forecasts and Issue Purchase Order/Requisitions per the SOPs.
  • Enter, expedite and track Purchase Orders with suppliers to insure deliveries, Blanket Orders, Vendor Managed Inventory, etc. are in alignment with production requirements.
  • Assist in eliminating non-value added steps throughout the value system.
  • Advise appropriate personnel of schedule or material availability changes.
  • Source and quote inventory items, inventory services, supplies and tooling in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Operations in Cosmetic Manufacturing, Food, Paint, Bio-tech or similar industries.
  • An Industry Certification in Procurement Management a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Management Software preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: 

The R&D Supervisor develops both new products and improves formulas to help expand the company’s business. Serves as the principle developer of personal care products and coordinates scale-up according to the agreed upon project plans. Insure the highest quality standards and regulations are met including all FDA and cGMP requirements. The R&D Supervisor accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities. This person plans and maintains systems and procedures for efficiency and optimum performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops new and/or improves product formulas.
  • Participates in technology transfer from pilot scale to full production.
  • Develops and maintains required documentation.
  • Keeps manager and team up-to-date of project progress, costing and results.

JOB SUMMARY: 

Regulatory Associate is responsible for product regulatory compliance, product specifications and product formulations. This will include USA regulatory compliance, as well as working towards international documentation and registration.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and develop SDS, ingredient listing for finished product.
  • Monitor project progress and achieve US and International regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrate good lab practices and regulatory compliance in product development and completing of the product dossier.
  • Manage regulatory compliance related to EU PIF/ dossiers.
  • Process product registration documentation for EU/Asia/Canada/Australia/Middle East.
  • Identify and maintain updated records of compliant raw material specifications, ability to source and collaborate with RM suppliers to ensure GMP/ISO regulations and standards.
  • Support communication and regulatory documents with manufacturers on new formula development, reformulations, audits, testing (stability, compatibility, micro, RIPT and OTC).
  • Ensure label artwork regulatory for global compliance, review marketing collateral and work in translation agencies.
  • Manage and prepare documentation.
  • Prepare documents required for export registration.
  • Assist to ensure quality records to meet FDA requirements.
  • Work on new product formulation documentations.
  • Investigate and code raw materials as needed.
  • Monitor stability and notify potential problems.
  • Communicate with processing, planning, and Research and Development.
  • Manage multiple projects in positive and proactive manner.
  • Demonstrate good lab practices and regulatory compliance in product development and completing of the product dossier.
  • Maintain and update product library consisting of quantitative ingredient declaration, SDS, Product Specification Sheets (PSS), Certificate of Analysis (COA), and Technical Data Sheets.
  • Ensure label artwork regulatory for global compliance, review marketing collateral and work with translation agencies.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cosmetic (or other FDA) related industry (preferably in Regulatory Affairs).

 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Manage multiple projects in positive and proactive manner.
  • Knowledge with international regulatory and be able to prepare documentation and communicate with international agencies.
  • Work closely to the regulatory requirement of the customer.
  • Technical writer and document editing skills, a plus.
